In the 1950s, on a small island in the Indian Ocean, there was a government testing facility. It was so top secret, to this day no one even knows what they were researching there. All that matters, is that something went wrong....
On May 15, 1953, a message for help was sent from the facility. In the background all the radio operators could hear was explosions and, the roaring of the big cats that the scientists had made their pets.
Jets were sent out to rescue the scientists immediately, but by the time they got there, the research facility had vanished, and the little Island had become a large land mass.
When the jets reported back that they couldn't find anyone, the government quickly labeled all information on the land top secret, and prohibited any aircraft or ships anywhere near the area in case the land was dangerous.
That was the last that the humans saw, or had anything to do with the land, but the scientists had many exotic pets, some the they were using to experiment on. The result was big cats that had the knowledge and ability of ancient humans, but still looked like big cats. At first there were only a few of each type of cat, but soon some of them began to multiply...
By the time 2003 rolled around, and 50 years had passed, three main groups of big cats were evident. Lions, Tigers, and Leopards.
They formed groups that they called tribes and expanded more. Staking their claims on territory. For awhile all was peaceful, some groups even did a bit of trading with each other. Of course though, the tribes continued to expand, and by 2010 they were at each others throats. The great cat wars had begun!
