»»secrets:
He's constantly worrying about his sister.
»»general personality:
Tray is quite the talkative fellow, able to strike up a conversation with just about anyone. If the person does not wish to talk that’s fine with Tray, he can do enough talking for a whole room of people. Tray is very inquisitive constantly wanting to learn new things, but he is cautious about how he goes about doing it. Asking questions is something he likes to do, he wants to know every detail from a military plan to how to install a door hinge.
Although Tray can talk your ear off, he is a rather good listener knowing when it is time to shut up and allow someone to do the talking for a change. Relatively polite he aims to please if he can without going against his beliefs. Very passive, Tray is not the type to pick fights with anyone without a legitimate reason. Of course that does not mean he won‘t put his wrestling skills to use if necessary. Tray does not desire any jobs involving him having to lead, he honestly thinks he‘d be a terrible leader, but he‘s always up for trying new things and he‘ll face the task with a grin. Tray is very protective of his family and anyone he calls a friend- which could be all of Krestville at the rate he’s going- and he’ll do just about anything to protect them.(if talking it out fails of course).
Tray will be friendly and treat a total stranger like he has known them forever, but that does not mean he lets his guard down entirely. He’s fully aware that some people may stab him in the back or simply try to knock him senseless before he’s able to get a word in edge wise. But that doesn’t stop him from saying hello to them anyways. With the gift of empathy Tray has the ability to read another's emotions, allowing him to zero in on anyone who is down. Never be sad around this guy, he just can’t handle seeing anyone down. This comes from when his Aunt and Uncle would fight, up until then Tray’s life had been quite happy and simple. Sure his parents had had disagreements every now and again- what couple s don’t- but they could always find something to be happy about. This was why the sudden change in his care takers unsettled him so much, Although his Aunt and Uncle were kind to him, they were often arguing amongst each other. Sure they put on a smile to hide it when ever Tray walked into the room, but he could always tell that it was a lie.
Being sent to his overly stern Grandfather and Agrueing Aunt and Uncle had caused Tray to learn how to put on façade of happiness, as he tried to adjust to the harder lifestyle of a farm hand. Now Tray can’t distinguish the line between his act and his true quirky nature, often times the two over lap.
Tray has a great memory, able to remember thing in a short amount of time. Which allows him to remember when someone has wronged him for the longest of time, of course he is more then willing to forgive and forget depending on how serious a crime you had committed against him. Tray loves healthy competition, and would gladly partake in any honest competition. After all, challenges in life are what make things so interesting. Because Tray prefers to avoid unnecessary violence many people peg him as weak, but that is far from the truth. Tray can be a strong willed individual with a stubborn streak that can be ranked with the best of them, of course one would rarely see such emotions.
When ever he is mad or troubled Tray will often retreat to a quiet spot to think and ponder, sometimes even become philosophical. He sticks closely to his morals, a thing that will be greatly tested as time goes by. Tray likes to take in the little details in the world, when most people walk by he’ll stop and admire the little ants as they go about their work. And he has trained his eyes to spot such minute details, only to enjoy the world we live in at a deeper level.
Though Tray comes across as total idiot, he in fact is rather intelligent, his mind can be quite calculating, and he himself can be surprisingly serious. Of course Tray hides all this preferring to let everyone think he is a well meaning idiot, people tend to lessen their guard around him because of this.
One of Tray's favorite ways to avoid trouble is to compliment the one seeking it, although this tactic is most affective against women Tray has found many men who can be distracted the same way. For the most part tray is truthful, if he doesn‘t believe it is true he will say so.
If he thinks the dress makes you look fat he'll say it- In more words then necessary, getting off topic as he does so before finally finding his way back to the actual topic at hand.
But if he says your eyes are pretty he means it, this obviously gets him into a lot of trouble.
Tray will go around complimenting girls, usually choosing to speak to the ones that have less confidence then others and work to build up their self esteem as much as he can before needing to leave. This often makes his relationships hard because his girlfriends begin to think his words are empty. This is not true of course, he just likes to make people feel better when he can. He is an unknowing flirt, totally clueless when girls try to flirt with him.
Tray loves insults, he may not say them but he finds it funny when people insult him. And sadly a lot of people have a habit of repeating the same ones over and over again. This bores him immensely. So when someone actually calls him a something unique he compliments them. Many times aggravating the person even more.
the history,

»»background:
Tray's past is a pretty boring one, not filled with great excitement or heart breaking sorrow. of course that does not means he doesn't find it befitting or pleasant, Tray feels lucky to have such a boring past and he often spends hours reflecting upon it.
Tray grew up in a small village, his parents being poor after the move from earth unable to eke out a living anywhere else. He grew up on stories about earth and its many wonders and he watched as he parents worked hard to earn a living, helping out when he was old enough. Not long after they had put Tray to work Tray's sister was born adding another mouth to feed to the already struggling family, but that did not change Tray or his parents felt about their new family members. Tray adored his baby sister and doted upon her every chance he got, often times watching her while he parents left in search of work. His father was a hunter and a farmer and he gained a little cash by leading hunting expeditions for the more wealthy business people or taking up odd jobs while his crops grew. Tray's mother was a seamstress and gained a low pay job after helping the shop owner one day. After several years the family began to do okay, they weren't rich but they got by. Tray was happy.
As time passed the government turned even more sour; Draining the people of as much money as possible the government quickly sent the small family right back to where they had started, struggling to simply put food on the table. Tray's parents hated the government and Tray soon learned how wrong it was as slowly people started to worship them and turn away from their gods. But Tray was never one to hate so deeply and quickly he became a more neutral supporter of any group opposing the government. By the time he turned 14 Tray had decided it was time to leave is small village and discover a life of his own. His mother and sister were against it but his father seemed proud as he gave his son a gift as well as a means to find an old friend who'd take him under his wing and teach him what he needed to know to survive.
Traveling he met many new and interesting people learning many lessons he needed to survive, some pleasant others not so much. But he finally made it safely to his father's friend, scrapped up here and there but safe none the less. This friend taught him the art of sword play and how the haggle, among other things one needs to learn to create an honest business. As well as some things that were more on the shady side/ Tray soaked it all in like a sponge and his zealous attitude pleased the man so much that he made Tray a partner in his business. A place that did jobs most people didn't want to do, or things that were to dangerous that most idiots wouldn't take. After many years Tray turned 20 and he bought a ship, it was a simple little gal elegant yet well rounded. Majestic yet rugged, Tray's first serious love. He had learned how to manage a ship from previous jobs he had undertaken and now that he owned on for himself his business increased.
Now three years have passed and Tray is still the proud owner of the Stargazer and as neutral as ever. He now supports the space pirates although he usually does not announce this to the world rather helping them secretly as he keeps is neutral status. His odd job reputation has gotten a name for himself and he has done a couple of jobs for the government never anything serious and with great displeasure. Although he takes on jobs most peoples won't do he doesn't not do dirty work, crossing the line between worker and murderer is something he will not do for money.
During one of his jobs Tray came across a Spiny Rabbit kit after an anchor from the Stargazer landed on their burrow killing the rest of the family. Having a deep love for animals Tray took in this young kit not even a month old. And with much love and devotion(as well as many bandages later) he had himself a loyal friend who follows him everywhere. The light brown and white creature can be found sitting atop Tray's shoulder or head, following in his shadow, or sleeping under his master's pillow when he is at work. Tray is very protect of his furry friend named Mo, willing to draw his sword and skewer anyone who tries to harm him.(One of the few times anyone will ever see Tray's darker side).
How Tray Gained His Secret Weapon
Durring one of his jobs as a young apprentice Tray accompanied his mentor it into the firefly forest, where they brought supplies to a crazy old man who claimed to be an inventor. Instantly tray became friends with the kind coot, who soon regarded the young lad as his own son. After he aquired his own ship the Stargazer many years later Tray still continued to bring the man supplies and offer his company and a friendly hand as he worked on his odd device. After many years the man finished his grand invention and, fearing he was being watched by the gonverment begged tray in secret to take it. Giving him the book that contants all the specs of the machine, installing itaboard the Stargazer Tray watched as his friend vanished into the forest never to be seen again.
Now a few years later at the age of 21 Tray had memorized the specs of the machine that can turn his ship invissible, able to take the whole thing apart and put it back together in the dark. he knows the secret weapon better then the back of his hand and keeps the book hidden never taking it out of its hidding place underneath the floor board beneath his bed. Wit hthe only key to the room the contained the machine in the engine room Tray is the only one who knows how to fix and maintain it, keeping the rest of htr crew in the dark about its functions in case someone proves to be a spy. in turn he keeps the door hinges on the ship under oiled so they squeak to high heaven when opened alerting the crew and himself when another enters the room. His cabin and the engine room doors are the loudest with a wire that runs from the engine doors through the ship to a bell on the wall in his cabin triggered to ring when the doors are opened. (A trick he learned from the many snares he built when hunting with his father.)

The brute noticed the femme’s confuse look she gave him concerning his action. It was true he normally would not submit so easily. Being a leader of a pack taught him to never submit to others, but he was so desperate to talk t someone, to get her memory out of his head even just for a little while that he would suffer the humility. And besides, if it gave this female a moment to relax and maybe a reason to smile he would gladly do it again. Listening politely to the female’s answer the male gave an understanding nod.
“It is sad that one so pretty as you needs to fear so much He stated, a frown creasing his brow. “No female should fear the approach of a male. They should merely expect to be treated with respect and care, but alas this sadly does not always happen.” A hint of disgust entered the male's voice at the thought of another mistreating this small femme, and judging by the way she reacted toward him she had had been treated so wrongly some time in her life. he had met many small females in his life and none acted so extreme at toward his presence. This troubled the male and he felt a desire to protect the petite she-wolf. But he pushed these feelings aside, she probably would not see his actions as a friendly gesture but rather a threat.
Studying the female Apache found her simple head cock to be amusing, at least curiosity was a step up from terror. She was still scared of him and he was certain that if he moved to fast she would flee without a second thought. This the male did not want and he did his best not to make any sudden movements that would cause the femme any distress. Noticing his mistake Apache chuckled. ”Heavy it was not miss.”He said, embarrassment causing him to feel hot under his fur. He wasn‘t the type to mix up his words so. ” I meant to say that your song was heavenly to my ears. “ Giving her as friendly smile as he could Apache mulled over the female’s name.
“Maeve.”
he said rolling the name of his tongue, "Beautiful, so simple yet elegant-holding an air of mystery and yet hint at in inner gentleness. A name worthy to such a lady as yourself.” Once again the male turned to flattery to try and ease the female’s fears. Keeping himself as low as possible the brute went on “ You have no need to fear me dear Maeve. I mean no harm, I simply wish to enjoy the such a night with company rather then on my own.” He hoped that his words sounded sincere, meeting her eyes he tried to convey the truth of his words to her through them before moving them away so not to startle her any farther.
