A snarl ripped forth from throat as she lost her victim yet again. She lost her target as it slipped through the undergrowth without any issues. Cymmie of course was less clumsy than the humans in the forest, but the forest was still a hindrance to her. The plants grabbed at her pants and it sounded as if she were running through the sensitive undergrowth instead of merely walking. She glanced around, looking for the long legged weasel creature that she had been hunting. One of her daggers were pulled and at the ready, waiting for the tender flesh it could slip into.
Her emerald eyes searched the undergrowth, no movement or sound came from anywhere. It was too quiet, the forest could sense her hunting aura and tensed muscles, no animal would alert her to it's presence if it could help it. Cymmie's grip tightened and loosened on the dagger's grip, trying to relieve some of the annoyance she felt. She dropped to her knees and stared at the ground. Her fingers pressed against the earth, no tracks were there, but nearby she noticed a cracked twig and broken fern frond.
She followed the trail left behind by her possible quarry. Then she came upon a stream the water was speaking to her, pushing into her thoughts once again. Further downstream something was drinking in the clear water. It was a medium sized creature and could very well be her weasel. She carefully made her way back into the undergrowth and through to the creature, it was her target. She paused as it's head lifted and it scented the air, it noticed her though and as it began to leap away through the water, she froze it around it's paws. Then with a growl she leaped out and quickly slashed it's throat, managing to get bit in return. It hurt, the bite, but it was shallow and not that bad. She would heal quick enough.
The weasel-creature, it was shaped like a Fasa only a deep purple color with large sharp claws that erupted from it's paws, slumped over and it made a hissing sound as the air left it's lungs and the blood bubbled up from the slash in it's throat. Cymmie gripped it's scruff and unfroze it's paws as she began to drag it back through the forest to the ship. She sometimes wondered what happened to the creatures of the forest when she killed one of them. Like what if this was a mother? Was there a ripple effect? Did their babies die and then all the generations after that? Did all the things they killed end up destroying the beginning of a new evolution sequence? Because things here evolved so fast and so differently, Cymmie wouldn't be surprised.
"Ripple effect," she whispered, looking down at the weasel-creature.

She had gone out to the forest with her own team, they were constantly checking the skies taking in prisoners when they could. If they were lucky enough they would even play out a fight or two, though it was obvious who always won. But never had they managed to catch one crew in particular, they constantly seemed to elude Rainen and her men. Well she wasn’t going to stand for it any more, her mood had been pushed to the edge more recently. She wanted to find them and bring something back for the council, she didn’t care about a job well done for her other victims. The Sky Pirates were all that mattered to her now. Even if she had to take down every ship in the sky she would do it. So Rainen had developed a new theory. Perhaps they couldn’t find them because they were hiding, and you could only do that on the ground.
If this was true it was a foolish move on their part, Rainen would find them. They would be vulnerable and surrounded at the same time, especially if they were hiding in the forest. It would take more time to leave without damaging their precious ship. “All of you keep searching. I’m taking a break to look over the map.” She made her way through the trees lost in thought, but her attention was suddenly drawn away at the sound of someone nearby. Rainen strained to hear where the noise was coming from and unsheathed her saber. The silver blade glimmered in the light as she gripped it firmly, Rainen moved swiftly never skipping a beat.
She wasn’t trying to muffle the sound of her shoes as she raced forward. Rainen only slowed down once the voice was closer it, if it was a Sky Pirate victory would be hers. But she knew it was never that easy, but she was prepared to fight. “Ripple effect indeed.” Her blade was always ready for action but she wasn’t about to strike down a complete strange…or was she? This was certainly a strange coincidence, and Rainen just looked the woman over half expecting to engage in combat right away. Her nerves were bouncing around but she tried to keep still. It was true, she was the perfect soldier, like a loyal lapdog at best. Even as a Military Head she had the natural instincts to attack on site.

As she walked through the forest the sound of rustling branches reached her ears. She stiffened, her fingers opening to drop the Fasa-thing, as she pulled both daggers loose of their sheaths and then her gaze flicked around, trying to find the source of the sound. She felt her skin tingle with awareness as she continued through the forest and suddenly a figure appeared before her. The woman held a saber in her hands and her words floated over to Cymmie's ears. The deity narrowed her eyes, her clothes were different. They looked nothing like pirates. So what was her position? Was she military or civilian?
From the aura of danger and fierce flame in her eyes Cymopoleia decided on military. There was also the fact that most civilians didn't carry such a fearsome weapon unless they were hunters. A grin of confidence curved her mouth as Cymmie said, "It's not polite to listen in on others conversations, even if it is with no one but themselves." That smirk still firmly in place she stepped closer to the woman, testing her boundaries. Cymmie was always testing her boundaries, the need for adrenaline coursing through her veins was always pressing her to do so.
The blood from her bite wound dripped onto the forest floor. "So who is it that faces me with such a fearsome weapon?" Cymmie asked with a bored expression replacing the smirk. She was asking for a fight. The desire for that familiar pounding of her racing heart and the rushing of her speeding blood, it was thick in her mind, a haze through which she could barely see through. It tasted metallic on her tongue. And as she swallowed she swore she could taste blood in her throat. Though that made no sense.
She carefully kept on the balls of her feet, readying her body so it would be able to block any attack sent her way. Her weapons were raised, her eyes deceptively relaxed, as if she were already bored with this whole conversation. But she was far from it, she wanted to push the woman into a rage, wanted to feel that sword pressing at her flesh. That would bring the adrenaline rush on full force. And her hunger for danger would only push her to be more and more reckless, stupid, and vicious in her attacks, it would eventually be the end of her.

Her aqua colored eyes settled on this new challenge, the idea that it could possibly be another pirate flashed across her mind. But she wasn’t in the best of moods to deal with that right now, she wanted the sky pirates not this individual standing before her now. But if that was the case, she looked different than the other pirates she had once taken on, this woman was strange and they shared a few similarities. This unnerved Reinen, her mind was not focused on her goal here, perhaps this is why she had taken a break in the first place. However, she refused to let this woman stand in the way. Her focus was all that mattered and she needed to wake up. She was a military head, not some lowly soldier. Reinen didn’t grin back, even though she knew it was one of hostility. Or maybe it wasn’t, it didn’t matter for she wouldn’t return the expression either way.
Rumors had it that she was without a soul, and maybe that was actually true. “I seem to have lost my manners in the forest.” Her voice was cold and carried no emotion in it, it would’ve been impossible to even tell that it was sarcasm. No matter how she spoke it all sounded the same. Only Reinen knew the difference which wasn’t much help to anyone else, but she could’ve cared less. “Then again maybe you should learn to keep your conversations to yourself. You never know what else might be out here.” And that was true enough, something was always watching whether it be a simple animal or an actual person. The forest held many secrets, and was the perfect place to hide. Reinen didn’t even move as the other woman approached, she was afraid of anything. Not even death scared her, she was empty inside.
“Injured in a forest now are we? One can never be too careful.” She looked down at her own saber with a bored expression on her face. It almost seemed as though she had found a new fascination with the blade, her thumb and index finger rubbed against the metal as if to test it. “Reinen Linear Military Head, and who are you?” Her piercing eyes shot up and looked at her, as though probing to find out more. Reinen was never too sure when she’d find herself in combat, but she was always ready for it. Her nerves surged throughout her body as though ready to take on any challenge. But even so, Reinen knew somewhere deep inside her that they would meet again several more times. It was a strange feeling to have and there was no telling what would become of this encounter. Allies or enemies? A question she always asked before it began.

The smirk on her lips only grew with the woman's cool answer. She didn't seem interested. Cymmie only laughed. Rainen, the Head of the Military! It made her skin prickle with unease. Cymopoleia knew the danger she was in, but she also knew she could beat the other woman. Or at least that's how high her confidence was. She was cocky, and why shouldn't she be? She had centuries behind her of practice. But she had a chance, she could kill the human right now and destroy the one of the most important figures in the corrupt government.
But Cymopoleia wouldn't. It wasn't fate for her to kill the woman, it was fate for Sankari to take her on. It was the pirates' job. Perhaps there would be no giant battle that went beyond what the small fights they were having now, there were two paths that the pirates and Council could take. There was one where many would die and then there was one where a treaty would be raised. None of the deities knew which path would be taken, it just was left up to fate. All they knew was the possibility of one of them happening.
"I am Cymmie, or Cymopoleia, named after the Sky Pirate goddess of water. I am a hunter, for a group of pirates," she said, not specifying which group she stayed with. She wondered if the military woman would be interested enough in killing a pirate to find out if she was one of the main group who was leading the resistance. She kept her weapons raised, her body still fluid, she never fought with tension in her limbs. It usually gave away to broken bones. She side stepped and chuckled. "So, Raine-en are you going to attack me? I am a pirate after all. Something you must hate with the very fibers of your being," she slurred the woman's name intentionally.
She was mocking the woman. Giving plenty of open spaces that would let in a strike, but that could be batted away with such ease with Cymmie speed and agility that it would frustrate anyone. She fought quickly, and because she used such small weapons she was at an advantage when it came to speed.

There was no denying their strength, Rainen could feel it the moment she had stepped into the clearing. They were both powerful and well trained to fight, the question was who was better. Could they ultimately destroy each other? The way she moved suggested experience, they were both far too laid back to strike first. That was always the first mistake, but to attack in unison was lethal. Rainen knew that their fight could last a long time before breaking. In some weird way, Rainen almost looked at Cy with respect. She looked upon Cy in that moment as an old friend who had been away for a long time only to return as her rival. She wouldn’t kill her, not now or ever. It was almost certain they would meet again, but never anything more. Maybe it was fate that tugged at her to leave it at that.
Besides, Rainen wouldn’t allow herself to fall so easily, she had a goal in life that would be completed. Maybe not today, or a week from now, but Rainen would get what she wanted. It would be the death or at least capture of the Sky Pirates. They would all fall by her hands, and she would kill even one of her own if they got in her way. This would be her own victory not theirs, even the rest of the government knew that. Maybe that’s why everyone around her was too afraid to even speak with her, because she wasn’t afraid to kill them on the spot. So it left her alone, she never had any friends to turn to. All the other soldiers were friendly enough with one another. “Cy is easier to remember. I have to go through a lot of names.” She had to train and deal with enough idiots in her life. Knowing this woman would be a challenge if she didn’t think up a shorter name. In the military world everything was about having a title.
That part had always annoyed Rainen, she hated being addressed by those below her. It didn’t matter if she told them to stop, they were too afraid to call her by any other name. “A weasel is your only catch? Are you sure that a hunter is up your alley? You seem more like the fighting type.” She sensed movement up in the trees, a few birds chirped at one another, a dry smile crept over her face. Swinging her Saber over her head, it spun in circles moving through the trees faster than one could blink an eye. A shriek sounded from high up above but Rainen’s saber returned to her. It had been a move that had been taught to her long ago. The birds fell from where they were perched to the floor of the forest. “Hunting problem solved.” She wasn’t doing it to be nice, in her mind it was just another thing to kill. “Why would I waste my time doing that? Besides…It’s not you that I want.” She inspected her blade making sure it was clean but didn’t bother putting it away. “And not every fiber of my body. Seems like everyone has the wrong idea about our people.”

The fact that he was saved from being hit by mere inches was good a good thing.
Sandulf had been in the tree's, talking to the birds in a quiet tone when he had heard a familier voice in the distance. When the person came into view, he had realized that it was true, seeing that Cymopoleia had come. Not only that, but she was also getting talked down to by another person, apparantly one from the government. It didn't seem like a bad thing, yet he was glad that neither had seen him. He was watching quietly from his perch, having soon sat down, waiting for his time to come in. Sandulf couldn't think of anything else that could have been any better, seeing the confrontation was mostly between them for now. He just couldn't take the time and stop them earlier though.
He figured that it was for the best, knowing that his time would come when it was necessary. Sandulf wanted to be sure nothing bad was going to happen, but then again, women were so unpredictable sometimes. It was hard to tell at any point what they would be like that, seeing that he couldn't understand too much of their ways in life. He may have had a tough time understanding it, but that didn't matter to him. Ignoring that, Sandulf shook his head, knowing that it was probably better that he was getting down there soon. Something was going to happen, especially after the saber had come through, almost hitting him in the head already.
"Why can't you women ever take the time to actually be simpler about things? I would like it better if you gales didn't fight as much as you do." Dropping, Sandulf landed in between both girls, a couple shurikens in his hand. If needed, he wouldn't mind using it, but that just wasn't his nature with things. It wouldn't be bad, but someone couldn't blame him for being uncertain of the situation at hand. At least one thing was good about him, a smile was on his face, a relaxed posture in a really tense situation. Sandulf tilted his head, waiting for the two to speak.

Walking around in the calm forest the boy settled down by a small river to get some rest. For once the damn blue hen actually had stayed by his side and had just jumped up on his stomach with a satisfied cackle. The sun shined down through the leafs and cast reflexes of the surroundings in the water, sparkling and twisted the river reflected the twisted and dark world that suffocated the new planet. Humanity was the same wherever it went but even thou the sun still shined down, it’s warmth still touched every being’s skin and warmed their hearts without caring about their sins or wrong doings in past time. The young sky pirate sighted and the gesture made the hen bounce up in the air and landing with a mad look in her black eyes.
Why could humans never understand each other? It was pretty pathetic when you thought about but Well still couldn’t stop the burning flame of hate towards the government. His blood burned with the poison and made him bite down hard on his lip to stop himself from screaming out his fury. The curse of human, the hatred and the feelings of revenge, everything repeating in an endless circle, unable to stop itself. As Well watched the clouds pass by he thought of his family on the circus and the old, wise clown. The clown always told the children about his passed days and the meaning of living as a circus artist. A smile is worth the most, as a circus artist it’s our meaning of living.
Well wanted to believe that his reason for living was to make people smile but he had been raised as an honest child and could not lie to himself. His new reason for living was to destroy the corrupted government and nothing else. The circus boy’s thoughts went to the captain of his pirate clan, her lonely eyes and the madness behind them. Everyday must be like hell for the girl leading the freedom fighters.
A scent of blood reached Well’s nose. The blue hen almost fell of his stomach as he sat up suddenly. In the river passed a red streak of blood. Was there a fight around? Well stood up and ran towards the way the river flowed from. He could hear voices now. He heard the voice of a woman whose voice he could never forget, the general of the government military. Well bit his lip as he ran toward the sound of the voices.

A snarl of frustration fell from Cymmie's lips as her comeback was interrupted. The familiar dark form of Sandulf streaked down from the canopy, and Cymmie glared with eyes full of venom. She was just about to attack, possibly. But here she was being distracted by her annoying fellow god. She loved him, he was like a brother to her, but seriously, he picked the worst times to intervene. Right now she was seriously thinking about slicing into his flesh instead of Rainen's. Her eyes narrowed when he spoke. "And men don't fight? I find that highly unlikely, too much testosterone involved," she said and carefully crossed her arms so as not to cut herself.
There was the sound of crashing again as movement came from the underbrush. Cymmie turned, though kept her eye on the Rainen, as she looked for the source. She couldn't see the movement yet, but seriously if it was another person she was going to hit someone. They had started out with two people, and she was perfectly happy with only two. But three was a crowd, and four was just ridiculous. She didn't mind crowds all that much but when she came to hunt, it was time to be away from humanity, it was time to be the primal creature that her flesh and bone body contained.
Freedom was what the hunt meant, and freedom was something she cherished deeply. Something that meant more to her than anything. That was probably why she hated seeing the humans caught underneath the forever overbearing eye of the government. She wanted them to experience the freedom she felt when she touched the water, the freedom she felt when she went deep within her mind and spoke with the ever changing tides. The water inside her, that made her who she was, could not be kept chained to anything. Even the flesh of her form could be changed if she really tried.
"I'm sorry we were interrupted Rainen," Cymmie said.
