The darkness is shy, laying in wait for anyone who manages to stumble upon it. The darkness is so dark because it wants to hind the terrible face that it wears like a mask upon his real one. Wearing you face like a mask is everything to those who lives there, a face of an everyday normal person without any trouble then the children at class not sitting still like one wants to.
The government is just; the government is all, to follow without question, to live for the honor and to die. If everyday has a goal then the reason for doing it is the reward in the end, right? In other words death. I’ll send everyone who stands in my way to the darkest deeps of the hellish yard, all the pirates shall be extinct. Everything for the all mighty government. I’ll stand to see this world fall into the void. And when my time comes, I’ll be forgiven by the gods since there is no God except the leaders of this nation. When the time comes, I’ll be a hero for the people. I’ll take my place at the table of honor beside my fallen comrades.
That is what the master says, that is what I must believe but my blade is heavy, I can barely lift it anymore. Everyday my kodachi grows heavier by all the responsibility I have been given. What is real, the mask or the face behind it?
I devote myself to the government and what it means to live a life in shadow.
